Diploma in Nursing

This 3-year Diploma programme prepares you to be a qualified nurse, recognized in Malaysia and neighbouring countries such as Singapore and Brunei as well as globally. Job opportunities are available upon graduation with local government and private hospitals in Malaysia.

This programme aims to produce competent professional nursing graduates who possess critical thinking and decision making skills, so as to enable them to function in any health care settings and, priority areas to meet the 21st century health needs of individuals, families, communities and the population as a whole. Graduates will be able to work in government and private hospitals both locally and globally.

Staff nurses generally carry out assessments of patients and administer care and medications as needed. They also keep notes of patients’ care and development and create discharge plans for individual patients.
PERSONAL CAREGIVER
This role provides support in the community, nursing homes and hospitals. Personal caregivers provide basic care for patients one-on-one for those who need help in stroke care, post-surgery care, dementia, tube feeding and more
NURSING MANAGER
Nursing managers are responsible for supervising nursing staff in a hospital or clinical setting. A nursing manager is also responsible for financial management in maintaining department budgets. They require skills in leadership, communication, and emotional intelligence.
